The process of developing a brand (or rebranding it) must begin with a story – what is the history and motivation moving this venture? What is your mission statement? A cohesive visual identity will connect your offerings with your story to the marketplace and that’s where digital design comes into play.

Brand New Story
Brand New Story is a personal project I’ve been developing – it’s a series of online courses helping small business build their brands and design their websites on their own. In this day and age there is so much DIY web/brand design info and the phrase, “build your own brand” is over used. In order to create an impactful product one should know how to project manage, how to create web copywriting, where/how to get a logo designed for less, where to get videography done for less or how to DIY it, how to choose colours and fonts for your industry, what is responsive design and how to apply it to your own website. This project is still in development.

The Global Health Innovation Alliance Accelerator (GHIAA), established in 2017, is an independent resource, curator, interdisciplinary think tank, and consultancy located in the US and worldwide. The organization’s original website and branding lacked a story, so when we started developing their brand I made sure I understood their motivation and history. I compered their work to puzzle pieces and they really liked this idea! They wanted to keep some of the colours/fonts from the old site so I worked around that.

The branding process for this project was a little backwards – it started with videography and motion graphics and then evolved into a full brand development in collaboration with Alex Greenberg and Mae Uy.

Bikes Are People Too Podcast
Bikes are People Too is a podcast about people and their bicycles. Each episode features a new story by a bicycle enthusiast. Hosted by Randy Stackhouse – a bicycle mechanic, a thinker and a storyteller.
The main goal of this project was to design a podcast cover for the iTunes store and create the social media assets. Randy wanted to use the same shade of yellow used road lines and I chose a light blue to make the cover look like a quirky vintage poster (sort of).
Services provided: logo design, colour palette, photography, photo editing.
