Bio
Born and raised in Israel, Noya (Noa Ben-Mazia) started her musical and performing arts education at the young age of six – from piano lesson to music theory, drama, dance, musical theatre and choir. Graduated from high school with a major in music history and classical singing, Noya moved to Canada (in 2001) to pursue her music career. She performed in live venues and studios around BC, voiced characters in video games, voiced and produced marketing videos, she’s written and produced a podcast (with over 3 million downloads), and created an animation series called, Laura May Diaries which she pitched on CBC’s Dragon’s Den in 2013 with animation director Alex Greenberg and director Miles Forster.
Over the years Noya trained with notable vocal/acting/dialect coaches, such as, Patricia Dahlquist, Cathy Weseluck, Marcy Goldberg, Iris Quinn, Tony Alcantar, Scott McNeil, Ian Rafael, Kico Gonzalez-Risso and Judith Rabinowitz.
Noya studied Interaction Design at Emily Carr University for Art and Design in Vancouver BC and works as a media producer in the tech industry.
